Our management team has a combined total of nearly 200 years experience in business-to-business, high-tech marketing & sales, and computer science. Our R&D and professional services employees have additional backgrounds in mathematics and advanced computing.

Eric Bantégnie
President & CEO,
Esterel Technologies SAExperienceEric Bantégnie founded Esterel Technologies in the fall of 1999 and has since been its President & CEO. In parallel, Mr. Bantégnie was also President and CEO of Simulog, a high-tech software and services company of 180-people specialized in the high-tech industries (telecom, electronics, aerospace and automotive) for simulation, product data management, and object, database and web technologies-based projects, from 1998 to 2000.
Between 1996 and 1998, he created and directed DYADE, a Research and Development joint venture, formed between the Bull group and INRIA (the French National Research Institute in Computer Science).
Between 1992 and 1996, Mr. Bantégnie was Deputy Director at the French Ministry of Industry and Telecommunications, responsible for R&D policy in the field of computer science and telecommunications.
Between 1988 and 1992, he was Director of Production of France Telecom for the Western Paris directorate (Direction Opérationnelle des Yvelines).
During 1986 and 1988, he completed coursework on three complementary professional programs during the graduation course of the French civil service “Corps des Mines”, concurrently following general economy and engineering training at “Ecole des Mines de Paris”, while covering operational production, sales and marketing activities.

Marie-Aude de BONNIERES joined Esterel Technologies in January 2012 as Chief Financial Officer.
Between 2010 and 2011, Marie-Aude de Bonnières worked as a consultant, and transition manager, for different companies, concentrating on financial and controlling matters.Between 2008 and 2009, she worked for Regeal Affimet, Leading French company for Recycling aluminum, as CFO in charge of Finance, Legal and IT.
Between 2003 and 2008, Marie-Aude de Bonnières joined Eco-Emballages, an environmental company, as CFO in charge of Finance, Legal and IT (SAP).
Between 1998 and 2003, she was CFO and General Secretary of Coser, a Middle size Family Company with two activities: automatic food distribution and events catering.
From 1990 until 1998, she worked worked for Communication Developpement, Cable TV subsidary of the “Caisse des Dépôts”, as controller and then as CFO.

Bernard Dion
Vice President Strategy & Technology
ExperienceIn the fall of 1999, Bernard Dion co-founded Esterel Technologies and has since been in charge of both product engineering and the development of product methodologies of use.
Prior to Esterel Technologies, Mr. Dion was part of the Simulog Group beginning in 1993, where he began as the Technical Director of Connexite, a subsidiary devoted to the development of programming systems for the Fortran language. In 1995, he joined Simulog as Deputy CEO, developing a specific branch of the company with software engineering expertise for scientific and technical computing. In 1997, he became Simulog’s Senior Executive Vice-President, remaining in that position until 2000.
In 1984, in a partnership between INRIA, Bull and Thomson, Mr. Dion created CERICS, a graduate school in software engineering, which was then taken as a model for what are now “Mastères” in the French educational system of “Grandes Ecoles”.
Between 1981 and 1983, he was the Head of the System Software Department at Thomson Multimedia. His team was in charge of developing all basic software for the generation of the TO7, MO5, TO9 machines intended for use by individual consumers, which was at that time a new concept, bringing user-friendly multimedia machines at very low prices.
Between 1979 and 1981, Mr. Dion was a member of the Ada language design team at Bull Corporate Research Center.
Between 1975 and 1978, he was a Lecturer and Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin, teaching graduate courses on algorithms and optimization, and conducting research on programming languages and automata.

Cyril Fagué
Senior Vice-President, ASIA-RUSSIA Operations
ExperienceCyrille Fagué joined Esterel Technologies during the company’s infancy in November 2000 as Vice-President of Sales. His primary area of focus is European and Asian related business.
From 1995 to 1998, Mr. Fagué held a European Sales Management position at Viewlogic Systems.
From 1993 to 1995, he was the European General Manager for Sunrise Test Systems (prior to its acquisition by Viewlogic), a US startup company focused on automatic test program generation, where he grew the business from zero to over $3M.
From 1991 to 1993, Mr. Fagué began his exposure in the EDA industry, as Country Sales Manager for Dazix France.
Prior to Dazix, he was with Texas Instruments France for 13 years. He joined TI in 1978 as a Sales Engineer inthe Digital Systems Group. Then, from 1987 to 1991, he became a sales manager for TI.
Mr. Fagué began his experience in the high-tech industry with Steria from 1976 to 1978 where he worked in commercial applications development as a software engineer.

Fabrice Pena
Senior Vice-President, EMEA Operations
ExperienceAs part of the initial team, Fabrice PENA started with Esterel Technologies in 2000, in charge of the Sales for France. After a successful business development with the main Avionics Companies, he started the business development in other European countries, in Israel and built the US and Canada Business foundation.
From 2011, as part of the Senior Management team, Mr Pena worked on the Company integration into the ANSYS Group, and now focuses his Sales Team efforts on Europe, Middle East and Africa in the ANSYS System Business Unit.
From 1998 to 2000, Mr PENA was in charge of Desktop Services for Asia atSITA
From 1995 to 1998, he was Sales Excecutive for the Retail operation of ICL/Fujistu in France and in the UK.
From 1991 to 1995, Mr Pena held various customer management positions for the Personal Systems division of ICL in France and in the UK.

Tony Karam
Vice-President Americas Operations
Experience
Tony Karam joined Esterel Technologies Inc during the company’s infancy within the America’s Market Operations in June 2004 as a Field Application Engineer.
Today, Tony is the Vice President of Esterel’s Americas Market Operations and his primary area of focus is the North and South American SCADE-related business.
Mr. Karam began his experience in the Aerospace embedded software industry with United Technologies Aerospace System (UTAS), a UTC company. From 1997 to 2004, Mr. Karam held a System/Software Lead Engineering role with the Airframe and Engine controls product divisions within UTAS.

Jinsuo MA
Regional Sales Manager, China & Korea Market Operation
Experience
Mr. Jinsuo MA joined Esterel Technologies in July 2004 as a Field Application Engineer. From 2004 to 2009, Mr. Jinsuo MA changed his position from FAE to Consultant, and then Senior Consultant. He has strong technical background in Model-based development & verification activities, and also familiar with multiple safety standards like DO-178B, EN 51028 and IEC 60880.
Since 2009, Mr. Jinsuo MA was promoted to be Account manager for Korean market. Now he focus on SCADE related business in China and Korea.

Gunther Siegel
Vice-President Engineering
ExperienceGünther Siegel joined Esterel Technologies in September 2003 as Technical Manager of Esterel Studio and Deputy Director R&D. From 2006 to 2008, he was CTO of the EDA activity of Esterel Technologies in charge of product engineering, product marketing, and expertise development.
More recently, Günther Siegel is leading SCADE Suite and SCADE Display engineering activities.
Before joining Esterel Technologies, from 1998 to 2002, Mr. Siegel worked for Simulog (France). He managed the Professional Services Department, in charge of technical leadership and business development, specializing in Telecom, distributed and critical systems.

Frédéric Bessiere
Vice-President ESEG
ExperienceFrédéric Bessiere joined Esterel Technologies in 2000 as Product Development Manager for the Esterel certified Code Generator.
Between 2004 and 2009, he was Product Marketing Manager in charge of the SCADE Suite tool.From 1996 to 2000, Frédéric managed a software department at Magneti Marelli. His team was in charge to design software for powertrain control systems.
From 1992 to 1996, Frédéric was Software Project Manager at Valeo Electronic. He managed several projects for critical automotive systems, such as Electric Power Steering or Electronic Suspension and Brake Control.

Gérard Morin
Vice-President Professional Services
ExperienceGérard Morin joined Esterel Technologies October 2001 as industry marketing manager . Between 2002 and 2005, he was Vice-President of Product Marketing for the SCADE product line. He is now Vice-President of Professional Services, managing embededd software projects with our customers.
From 1994 to 2001, Gérard has managed several Engineering Departments at Ascom in France and Switzerland, specializing in Telecom and Electronic Banking embedded software. Prior to Department Manager, between 1990 and 1994, Gérard was manager of strategic engineering projects in the area of electronic payment and SmartCards, at Ascom France and Denmark.
From 1986 to 1990, Gérard was software project manager at Crouzet, developing advanced solutions for fare collection systems and electronic payment terminals.
Between 1981 and 1986, Gérard has developed several electronic devices for medical research at INSERM and CNRS.
